Workshops

We have so much fun at my workshops

Welcome to our workshop page, where creativity knows no bounds!

Join us at Clyde Street Community Hall in Thornbury for an inspiring experience. At Rushy Arts, we offer painting and drawing workshops specially designed for kids. Our goal is to provide a nurturing space for children to explore their creative skills and freely express themselves.
During the workshops, the young artists get to create inspiring pieces of artwork that showcase their unique talents. We believe in fostering a sense of individuality and self-confidence, empowering kids to make their own creative decisions without limitations.

Our workshops are not about following strict instructions like paint-by-numbers. Instead, we encourage kids to tap into their imagination and take pride in their originality. Building friendships and sharing the joy of creativity with others is an integral part of the Rushy Arts experience.

The workshops last for two hours, providing ample time for the kids to delve into their artistic endeavours while parents can take a well-deserved break. We take care of all the art materials, and you’re welcome to bring your snacks and drinks to make it even more enjoyable.

We’re thrilled to announce that Rushy Arts workshops are back! So, if you’re ready to embark on a journey of imagination and creativity, join us at Clyde Street Community Hall. Let your kids unleash their inner artist, build confidence, and become positive and confident individuals.
Looking forward to having your little artists with us!

DANCING IN SPACE 14th January 2023

The joy at Rushy Arts was immeasurable today as we embarked on an out-of-this-world space-themed art session! The kids’ artwork left us over the “moon” with excitement and pride. Under Rushy’s expert guidance, they learned the art of painting a mesmerizing moon and a breathtaking galaxy. But that’s not all; these budding artists infused their creations with their unique individual touch, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind. The addition of collages they drew and painted themselves added an extra layer of creativity and depth to their masterpieces.
As Rushy listened to the kids passionately describing their artwork, she couldn’t help but feel like she was on an exciting space adventure alongside them. Their vivid imaginations and artistic interpretations transformed the canvas into a celestial playground of colours and dreams. It was a delightful experience witnessing their artistic expressions come to life.
The entire session was nothing short of “too much fun!” Laughter filled the air, and the enthusiasm was infectious. The space-themed artwork not only encouraged their creativity but also sparked their curiosity about the vast universe that lies beyond.
At Rushy Arts, we believe in fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for our young artists. Seeing their confidence soar and their talents shine brightly brings us immense joy and satisfaction. We’re honoured to be a part of their artistic journey and can’t wait to explore more artistic adventures together in the future!

The artworks created by our Junior Artists, aged 5 to 12 years old, at Rushy Arts Workshops were truly amazing! The children’s creativity knew no bounds as they expressed themselves and brought Lu Lu the peacock to life on their canvases. A sense of accomplishment and pride radiated through their smiles, and it was a heartwarming experience for everyone involved.
At Rushy Arts, we value the power of feedback and suggestions in nurturing young talents. It’s incredible to witness how our students’ unique perspectives and ideas inspire us as artists. The exchange of creativity and knowledge between teachers and students is a two-way street, where we both learn and grow together.
As artists, we are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to expand our horizons and refine our skills. And what better way to do so than by observing the artwork of our young artists? Their fearless approach to selecting colours and creating marks is a testament to the uninhibited creativity of youth. They remind us that art is not bound by rules but is a boundless realm of self-expression, exploration, and instinct.
It’s a privilege to be part of our Junior Artists’ creative journey. Each artwork reflects their unique personalities and imaginations, making our workshops a celebration of individuality and artistic freedom.
At Rushy Arts, we are committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment where young artists can flourish and where teachers can continue to be inspired by the boundless creativity of our students. Together, we embark on a colourful journey of growth, learning, and artistic discovery. Here’s to many more amazing outcomes and artistic adventures in the future!
